Funerals

“I will ransom them
from the power of the grave;
I will redeem them
from death."

Hosea 13:14
"At the death of a Christian, whose life of faith was begun in the waters of Baptism and strengthened at the Eucharistic table, the Church intercedes on behalf of the deceased because of its confident belief that death is not the end, nor does it break the bonds forged in life. The Church also ministers to the sorrowing and consoles them in the funeral rites with the comforting Word of God and the Sacrament of the Eucharist."
(Order of Christian Funerals, no. 4)

When a loved one dies or death is imminent, there are many details that need to be handled.  Along with the stress of making these arrangements, your grief makes things even more difficult.  Our caring staff is here to help you plan the funeral liturgy.

When you meet with the funeral home, please be sure to have them call our office and request a date and time for the funeral.  Every effort will be made to honor those requests.

Our Parish Council of Catholic Women are available to provide a luncheon for family and friends after the funeral.  More information about this service will be shared at your initial meeting at the parish.
