Holy Spirit Parish Marriage Preparation Guidelines
Congratulations on your decision to marry! We hope that this time of preparation for your wedding will deepen not only your love for each other but also your faith in the Lord. These parish guidelines are offered to you so that everything will run smoothly on the day of your wedding and be for you a wonderful experience.
PREPARATION: Couples are asked to begin their time of preparation at least six months before their wedding date.
The Preparation Process includes the following three components:
- FOCCUS, a premarital compatibility inventory
- a review of the results of the inventory
- sessions with a mentor couple
No wedding date can be confirmed until the FOCCUS is completed. The Pastor or the Marriage Preparation Coordinator will direct your preparation process.
