The Holy Spirit Parish Council of Catholic Women (PCCW) is for the spiritual growth and development of its members.
Our officers for 2019/2020 are Therese Griffith, President and Marion Hunt Treasurer.
All women of Holy Spirit Parish are included in our membership. We do not have dues and we meet once a month, on the second Monday at 1:00 pm in the parish conference room.
The PCCW has a funeral luncheon ministry. We have committees to call parish members for salads or desserts, to set up, serve the food. and clean up. After the death of a loved one it is comforting to know that this will be taken care of. Our various committees welcome new women. Contact Irene Dixon or the church office to volunteer. This past year, our PCCW volunteers served 20 funeral luncheons with the wonderful food donations from our parish members.
We sponsor two card parties a year Spring and Fall. For information about the card parties contact Therese Griffith.
Our Lady of the Snows Circle meets once a month on the third Wednesday. Meetings are held in members’ homes at 7:00 pm. For information contact Alice Klundt, president. Our Lady of the Snows circle sponsors two bake sales each year, at Christmas and Easter. The primary mission of our circle is to support the PCCW and the Parish as well as adopting a family at Christmas and doing a special Easter project.
The PCCW has a Harvest Dinner each year. All parishioners participate and this is our major fundraiser.
The funds raised by the PCCW have purchased dishes for the kitchen, tableware, warming pans, an icemaker, the Rose Window in the rear of our church, the parish bus, as well as contributing a generous amount each year to the parish general fund. Last year the PCCW donated $8,000 toward our debt reduction.
